You can say India’s Film industry is largest in the world but  television industry is rising as well. Television industry is growing fast and might left  bollywood industry behind from itself. Bollywood celebrities do not mind taking their television debuts. Whether it’s for the remuneration or content that clicks better with the audience than films. biggest Bollywood banners like Balaji, Rajshri and Vishesh Films not minding investing in television, the entire budget and production cost is growing with each new television show.

We came with a list of highest paid actors of television who walked home with their heavy pockets in 2016. Here’s the list;

  1. Kapil Sharma- 60 to 80 Lakhs per episode

Comedy king Kapil Sharma came at the top of this list for a while now. Recently kapil Sharma was in news for his tweet in which he wrote that he pays RS. 150 crore income tax in a year. According to reports, Kapil is getting a whopping Rs. 110 crore for his renewed year-long stint with Sony. The Kapil Sharma show is generate more TRP other than any show on any channel and not just on channel his show is the top TRP generator in Indian Televison. Kapil Sharma earns 60 to 80 lakhs per episode.

2.Sunil Grover- 10 to 12 lakhs per episode

Kapil’s co-star and close friend Sunil Grover stands second on the list. It won’t be wrong to give credit to Sunil and his iconic comic acts for making Kapil’s comedy shows a grand success. Sunil earns between Rs 10-12 lakh per episode. Sunil has done various role in films also and has made a better name for himself on television, mainly as Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati. He totally deserves it.

3. Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor –  1.25 lakh per episode

Both the actors have worked in bolywood and television and recently working in television. These two actors known as Ekta Kapoor’s Favourite actors. They are bit choosy about picking roles but when they do they charge 1.25 lakh per episode. There are many similarities between both of them as they only work 15 days a month.

4. Hina Khan, Karan Patel –  1 to 1.25 lakh per episode

Both are the most popular faces on television. While Karan works works for his show Ye Hai Mohabbatein and Hina works for her show Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Recently she quits the show.

5. Divyanka Tripathi, Mohit Raina, Drashti Dhami – Rs 1 lakh per episode

While one is a favourite of the public, other is so shy that he doesn’t even have an account on social media. But both of them rule the small screen with their respective shows. Divyanka charges Rs 1 lakh for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, while Mohit took the same amount for Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, which was telecast till October 2016. We are awaiting Mohit’s next announcement and his remuneration. Speaking about Drashti, she hiked her fees after winning celebrity dance show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in 2013. She now gets around Rs 1 lakh for her new show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil.
