If you want to lose your belly fat you would require to regular exercises and a healthy diet plan. A study by Hampton University, Virginia claims that deep-breathing techniques of yoga can help your brain to change its metabolic activity and reduce the fat from the body.

Here are some deep-breathing exercises which will help you to lose belly fat.

Diaphragm breathing

Lie on your back and observe your chest and stomach is moving up and down. If you continue breathing and make sure you are taking deep breaths with every inhalation and exhalation. This improves your digestion system and removes the unwanted fat around the stomach.

Deep breathing

This is known as the basic form of pranayama. Sit straight with your back to the wall, place palms on your lap, close your eyes and take deeper breathes. Do this exercise for at least 15-20 minutes. It will help in burn calories and boost oxygen in your body.

Belly breathing

This form of breathing concentrates on the diaphragm and muscles below the lungs. You can do this sitting, lying down, or even while standing. Place one hand on the tummy with thumbs near your belly button and place the other on your chest. Now take deep breaths, ensuring your chest doesn’t rise. Allow your abdomen to expand.

Mouth breathing

This exercise pressurises abdominal muscles leaving you refreshed and energised. This also helps lose stubborn belly fat. Stand, sit or lie down. Open your mouth and breathe evenly and slowly through your mouth. Inhale for at least two seconds and exhale for a longer time, say four to five seconds. Practice this at least three times, every day.
